I reply within a working day, usually sooner, and it will be me rather than an account manager. The first conversation is a straight discussion about the problem you are describing, generally half an hour, and it costs nothing.
You do not need a brief or a budget to start. Most useful conversations begin with a symptom rather than a specification: results dropped and nobody can say why, an agency relationship is not working, a system was bought and never landed. Working out what is actually wrong is the first piece of the job.
If I am not the right fit
I will tell you, and where I can I will point you at who is. Perth is a small market and a badly matched engagement costs me more than a declined one. That applies to the size of the work as well as the type: some problems are a three month project, some need a full-time hire, and some need someone to spend an hour with your reporting rather than a retainer.
