STAKEHOLDER UPDATE TRANSLATOR

Dashboards do not speak in meetings. Put in the numbers you already trust and get a plain-English update: what happened, so what, and the next ask. You stay accountable for the figures; this only drafts the words around them.

How it works

  1. Choose who the update is for and name the period.
  2. Enter the metrics you already trust. Two is enough to start, and comparisons make the second paragraph possible.
  3. Add the ask if you have one.
  4. Read the draft out loud, delete anything you cannot defend, then copy it out.

Turn metrics into an update

Who is this for?

Write it the way the room says it.

The metrics

Bring numbers you have already checked. Leave the comparison blank rather than guessing at one, and nothing will be invented from it.

Context the numbers do not carry. It is quoted as written, never rewritten into a claim.

Nothing you enter here leaves your browser. Close the page and it is gone.

Your draft update will appear here.

This drafts the words. It does not check your numbers and it will not claim a cause you have not tested. If the room needs the full artefact, build it with the one-page marketing report, and if you are preparing to present rather than to send, use the leadership update prep.

A drafting aid. You own the accuracy of every figure. Not financial advice. Nothing you enter is sent anywhere or stored.

If you would rather have this done with you than to you, this is the work I do. See services

The so-what is the part people skip

Most updates are a list of numbers with an adjective attached. What the reader needs is the implication: which of these matters, what it changes, and what you want them to do. This tool reads the direction of the comparisons you enter and will not invent one you left blank, because a fabricated trend is worse than an honest gap and gets discovered at the worst possible moment.

It drafts, you defend

Every figure here is one you typed. Nothing is checked, nothing is fetched, and nothing is claimed to have caused anything. Read the draft out loud once and delete whatever you would not want to be questioned on. If the room needs the full artefact, build it with the one-page marketing report; if you are presenting rather than sending, use the leadership update prep.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Does this connect to GA4 or my CRM?

No. You bring the numbers. It does not fetch, check or store anything.

Will it invent a trend if I leave the comparison blank?

No. It says the figure stands alone this period, which is the honest version and the one that survives a follow-up question.

Who is it written for?

Whoever you choose: leadership, internal stakeholders, or an agency client. The tone and the length change with the audience.

Is the wording final?

No. It is a first draft in a dry register. Edit anything that overclaims, and delete anything you cannot source.
